Misty Dawn is sick

We are sad today.  My son's favorite pet hen is sick.  We don't know what is wrong with her.  It could be old age.  She is only 3 1/2 years old (she will be 4 in January.  She is an Amber Link which is a production layer so it could be old age.  We have her inside pampering her.  She got a bath and some special food to help her feel better.  Her comb is of good color but droopy.  All else seems fine and doesn't appear to be egg-related or respiratory.  We will see how the day goes.  We will love her and spoil her and hope for the best.  It's a time game now.  Hopefully she will perk up and pull out of it.  it has been a bad year of losing hens this year.  I guess that's what happens after 4 years for some.
